HTC Flyer the First HTC Tablet
The New HTC Flyer Tablet
It's going to be worth the wait is the constant buzz that has surrounded the new HTC Flyer tablet. 7inches of pure technological genius are your finger tips to make playing games, browsing, watching films wherever you are not just fun, not just exciting, but just plain better than the smug guys iPad across the train seat from you. Move over Apple, where the HTC Desire with Android is destroying the iPhone this simple 7 inches is going to make the iPad look like the Christmas jumper your grandma gave you.

So, the HTC Flyer Specs
Really? You want them now when there's all this cool stuff to talk about? Okok deep breath....it's:
- 420 grams
- 7 inch touch sensitive screen
- 1.5 GHz processor
- 1GB ram
- Runs Android with HTC Sense
- Standard Jack
- Wifi b/g/n
- All major music formats - mp3, ogg, m4a, wav, wma and more
- All major video formats - avi,mp4, wmc, xvid but sadly no MKV which is simply the biggest cpu whore on the planet anyway so no real loss.
- 2 cameras front and back for crying with your momma about your new born - oh wait this isn't an iPad commercial...ok having fun with your mates and lying to your girlfriend.
- There is a lot more but seriously it's time to talk about how cool it is some more right? RIGHT!
Let's start with...the back of the HTC Flyer

Awesome huh, looks very sleek and unlike every Steve Jobs creation with an "i" in front of it it doesn't feel like a bar of soap.
And then there's the pen...
Yes we have a touch screen and can do anything with it but wouldn't it be much cooler if we had a little tool that made us capable of doing so much more?

With this pen you can draw, write, paint, retouch images, highlight, link voice overs to a storyboard, play games, milk the cows...moooookkkk I'm kidding but really this one device allows you to truly extend the HTC Flyer and make full use of the power it packs.
3D take center stage
The new carousel helps you see where you are in your homepages and easily spin through to find the piece you need. Using depth in the UI sure has helped a lot and while this is not new to computing it really is to tablets.
Video Conferencing
Not much to report here other than like the iPad the HTC Flyer has front and back cameras and handles calls without having to superglue a special antennae to the device...ok I realise like it sounds like I don't like the iPad and perhaps this article is a little bit biased but hey, I do hate the iPad but I am not biased. The iPad makes an excellent....I can't even balance my coffee on it, ok the Flyer is just better in every department....Do I recommend you buy one? Well only if you can afford it. The early models are going to be around 700USD which is not cheap in todays climate but if you want to be the new chic and leave the crusty old world of Apple behind then like a bad coffee mug stain then now is your chance to join the Arab nations and rise up. HTCs' time is now, it only matters if you want to join them as they lead mobile computing into the next era.
Did I mention the online video service? no? How about the OnLive gaming service? no? As a great man once said, always leave them wanting mo...
