Synchronizing with Exchange

One of the reasons we all buy HTC devices is to be able to access and write emails on the go and share calendars etc. Of course we can do this via Microsoft Exchange mail server, IMAP4 or a POP3 mail server. This article will look at how to set everything up to allow you to synchronise with Microsoft Exchange.
 
Firstly, we need to find out all of the Microsoft Exchange server information to allow us to connect. We will need:
 

• server address
• email address
• email username
• email password
• domain
• does the server require ssl - will we need to install a certificate?

Armed with this information we can now configure our HTC device:
 
Go to Start->Programs->Active Sync->Menu->Add Server Source
 
Follow the directions from the wizard - using the information we found earlier.
 
Now you send/recieve or sync your email with your exchange server.
