Why are my calls dropping?

This could be a software of hardware issue but if you are using  a 3G enabled phone on a 3G network you change the band type to GSM. You can do this by going to Start->Settings->Phone->Band->Change Network Band to GSM.
 
Leave the other settings in this tab.
 
Note: Only available on 3G phones.
